Billy Torzilli’s psyche swirls in a dreamscape of memory, prayer, booze and accountability.   “Surviving BillyBoy” whirls in the surreal environment spawned by the loss of his estranged father.   After his born-again father’s cancer-ridden death, our middle-aged, gay actor voyages into the mindfields of anger, pathos, love and joy.  His adoring sister, Mattie, joins him on this tumble into Idaho where they encounter their Dad’s final surviving-family and the awfully eager... Pastor Dick.

Burgeoning into the mainstream with a menagerie of men from the furry fringe, Bear Beach dons the fashion of Bear Blanket Bingo while merging with the muscle of Rock ‘n Roll for a sexy spin in the sandbox of life.   The Rockstar Bear prowls the coast of love and music.  His ex-partner, a Lion, a stranger to these shores, evokes a conflicted eagerness in the local law of the land.  Together with Goldilocks, Mamma Bear, and the Hunky Bear ensemble, they sojourn in the universal power of Life on Planet Earth, where the gifts of love once given continue to give… when you continue to live in the place of love.   –Of course, the opposite is also true.  Beware of the wild; create love.

An educational and entertaining children's musical about a boy and a magic history book.  Co-authored with Tom Dougherty and Sid Cherry.  First production: Penny Bridge Players July 1988.  Second: Imagination Station - spring 1989.   Third: Penny Bridge Players July 1989.  Fourth production toured the Maryland school system via “Theatricks” and “Young Audiences of MD” from 1990 through 1997.
